More Reliv Lies and Scams

Below is a comment that I got from one of our readers. It is really sad that people will lie like this to sell their products. But it's amazing what money will make a person do. This is the danger of MLMs. People get so focused on making dollars that they will say or do anything to force people to buy them.

"Hello!

I am a very health-conscious American especially after I had allowed myself to be suckered into the USANA scam years and years ago. Thankfully, my bank account and self esteem have made a full recovery.

For years, though, I did work at a place where a few people did, indeed, distribute RELIV and have gotten beaten and badgered when I called them out on their lies and deceit. For example, one woman said that her nephew took RELIV and he was cured of Down syndrome. DOWN SYNDROM. That must be some shake to be able to completely change your chromosome structure and DNA, and allow for physical and mental transformation. If that's the case, can I start taking the Horse shake if I want to be a horse by this time next year? This stood out amongst other instances, and I grew tired of the vague Facebook posts, such as, "Are you a motivated individual who wants to help humanity and run a successful business? Send me a private message!"

The most disturbing facet of said individuals, though, is the fact that Christianity is brought into the equation. "GOD has put RELIV on earth to relieve humanity of its suffering! HE is giving us a way to fight our diseases!" GOD apparently wants to make some money off of us, as well!

It's sick and the people are sick. Thank you for running this blog and reminding me why this stuff is evil."

I, too have been told it cures DS!! I work with children with special needs I have been told by a family member who is a distributor that "If you love these kids, you'll tell their parents about Reliv, because I know a guy whose son was cured of Down Syndrome." She is ALWAYS telling me a new story about a child who was miraculously CURED of DS/autism/cancer/MD... you name it I have heard it from just ONE person! Obviously these distributors are told what to say and who to prey on with which story. I started hearing cancer curing stories when my mom was recently DX'd with cancer. But the distributor always tells me about the kids because that's where she knows my heart is.

And I have also heard about how "Godly" the creators of Reliv are, how they give the Reliv to the poor children who are malnourished (hello, tax break?! It's a donation!) and how wonderfully the kids look in a short time. (Of course, they do, you give them a DQ milkshake and a candy bar every day and they'll look better than they did!! When you eat something after not eating anything, you look better!) And she says that she has met so many other Christians and that this is truly a Christian business, chock full of faith and values and truth. Sounds more like a cult to me!!!
